The Jewish community was flourishing in Krakow until the Second World War. And today it counts only 0,3 percent of its former population. Next to the Jewish quarter Josefov in Prague, Kazimierz is the largest complex worldwide that features historic Jewish sights and points of interest. The guided walk that lasts approximately one and a half hours starts at the center of Kazimierz at Szeroka Street, a long square with a collection of street cafes that bustles with activity in the summer. At the south end of the square is the Remuh Synagogue which provides information on the history of the Jews of Krakow and is the only synagogue that is still used by the Jewish community today...
