The most significant music festival in Prague, the Prague Spring , begins each year on the anniversary of Smetana's death - considered to be the father of Czech music - with the performance of M á vlast (My Country). Each year talented orchestras and soloists from around the world travel to Prague to joint the Czech Philharmonic, both the Prague Radio Symphony and Prague Symphony Orchestras, as well as the Prague State Opera in this celebration of classical music.
