Not only enthusiasts of music or the ballet will regard a visit to the world renown Mariinsky Theater as an unforgettable highlight of their trip to St. Petersburg. The Mariinsky has played a central role in Russian ballet and opera ever since its opening in 1860. By the locals the theater is lovingly called "Mariinka", it houses the Crème de la Crème of the classic ballet - the Kirov ballet. During the reign of the Soviets the theater was called the Kirov. We gladly inform you of the current program and/or reserve tickets at either the Mariinsky Theater or the Philharmony for you.
