St. Petersburg which is located only 6° south of the northern arctic circle is essentially a city of castles and palaces. The Russian aristocracy that was displaced in 1762 by Peter III appointed respected artists and architects to come to St. Petersburg in order to sufficiently satisfy his need for representation. Let yourself be abducted by our guide in the history of the St. Petersburg aristocratic palaces and marvel at the interior of the Yusupov palace and the exhibited fantastic art treasures. In the bottom of the house is the museum dedicated to Rasputin, the mysterious charlatan that had a hold over the imperial family and controlled the country through this hold for over a decade. His murder by the Yusupov family which was supposed to take place during a dinner party (first by poisoned food, then by repeatedly shooting him and finally, by drowning and killing him) is re-enacted here by wax figures...
